I love counseling. It is the most rewarding profession. There is no better feeling than to have someone say that after just a few sessions they feel happier and more focused than ever thought possible in a just a few weeks. Everyone has ups and downs in life. Some of us more than others. It's okay to ask for help if you are struggling in some area of life. We all ask for help when we don't know what to do. If you have problems with your finances you find an accountant. If you feel like you need to talk to someone you call your counselor. My greatest pleasure is watching individuals grow and achieve their highest hopes and goals for their life.

More Info About My Practice

I enjoy all forms of counseling the following are some of my best areas of expertise: Parenting Adolescents, Career Coaching, Substance Abuse, Mental Health ( Anxiety, Depression, and Borderline Personality Disorders.)

Theoretical Influences that Guide My Work

I am a Solution Focused Therapist. I don't actually have to know anything more than you want to tell about your problem in order to help you find the solution. I do not need or want anyone to tell me anymore than they feel comfortable disclosing. I like to focus on Solutions.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

It's important for my clients to understand that counselors adheir to the highest level of ethics and confindentiality. I see my role as a counselor as that of a doubles tennis match. The client and I are on the same side of the net working together. My job is to always be on the same team and same side of the court with the client.

What Makes up a Problem?

A problem is only a problem if the individual sees it as a problem. Just because someone else thinks you have a problem doesn't necessarily mean that it's a problem to you.
