My Approach to Helping

I believe in the wisdom of the soul, mind, and body to heal itself. I work to empower clients to become self-leadership oriented and to use mindfulness based practices to develop this aspect within themselves. Through my own personal journey I have found that traditional psychotherapy is good, but therapies that honor the whole person and utilize present moment awareness are much more powerful. I also integrate spiritual tools and meditiation in my practice and teach clients techniques and practices to empower their own self-healing between sessions. I am trained in Hakomi- a body-oriented therapy- that works in mindfulness as well as Internal Family Systems (IFS). These two modalities together create a powerful healing modality. I am also trained in addictions, trauma recovery, energy psychotherapies (certified EDxTM practitioner, EFT, TAT, Certified Processor and Trainer in PEAT, EMDR level II & advanced practice), hypnosis, and energy healing modalities (including Reiki, La Ho Chi, Arcing Light). I am also a registered Yoga teacher and certified Soul Mind Body Medicine (SMBM) Master Soul Healer & Guide through the Institute of Soul Mind Body Medicine. I feel that I bring a firm foundation in modalities that are proven to help clients move to the next level and give them the power to heal themselves. I believe in creating an environment of safety and acceptance so that true healing can begin and continue in the therapeutic relationship. I feel truly honored to do this work and honor each of my clients in return.
