My Approach to Helping

My approach to helping people is strength based, which is concentrating on the person's strengths, and finding solutions to their problem/s; whatever you magnify grows, in other words if you magnify the problem it grows or if you magnify the solution it grows. I believe most people have within themselves the power to heal from almost any situation, but need some guidance, encouragement, direction, and support. My philosophy to helping people is one that addresses the whole person; looking at their situation, family background, current support system, spiritual side, physical well-being, & their thougth life, etc.

More Info About My Practice

Are you struggling with anxiety and/or depression? Are you unhappy most of the time? I specialize in working with individuals who have anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder, panic attacks, and general unhappiness. Are you and your spouse having problems in your marriage? I also, specialize in working with couples who are experiencing difficulties in their relationship, from communication issues to infidelity. My husband Greg and I have been married 35 years, and we have seen our share of problems in our marriage also, but have worked through them triumphantly. Are you a parent of a child who is impulsive, hyperactive, has difficulty concentrating in school or making friends? Are you a parent of a teenager who will not listen to you anymore, refuses to follow rules, possibly using drugs or drinking or having difficulties with school, etc? You are not alone! My husband and I are also parents of 4 grown children, who were all very strong willed. Some of the problems we had with our children affected our entire family, but we did make it through it, with help from several counselors. I now specialize in working with children and adolescents and their familes, who are struggling with these types of issues. The fact you are seeking help says you are very strong and ready for a change in your life, your child's, your teen's, your marriage, or your family. Give me a call, or email me and let's talk about your options.
