My Approach to Helping
I believe in a strength-based approach to healing and resolving problems. I work to help you tap into the resources you already have within you to help you achieve the goals you desire, and offer you new coping tools that allow you to build on the foundation you bring with you. Therapy should be a place where you feel comfortable to be yourself and I do my best of offer you that environment by using a down to earth style in my approach. Each person, regardless of the issues he/she struggles with is unique and therapy is adapted to fit the needs of the individual(s).

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
I think the most important factor is that a client feel safe and comfortable with a therapist. Often this can't be known until after at least one face-to-face meeting. Clients should have the opportunity to speak directly with a therapist prior to their first appointment in order to ask questions and make an informed decision about proceeding with scheduling. I offer a free brief telephone consult for this purpose.
