My Approach to Helping

I offer counseling and wellness services in the greater Eugene and Springfield, Oregon area with a distinctive, holistic body, mind, and spirit wellness approach. My approach is a client-guided, mindfulness-based process which incorporates somatic, expressive arts, nature based, and animal/equine assisted therapies.

I believe that each client has valuable innate wisdom, insight, and unique meaning attributed to each experience which serves to facilitate self-healing; as a therapist, I help guide each client through a deep listening and exploration process with the self. I see the body, mind, and spirit as an ecosystem where 'dis-ease' can be perceived as a messenger about how to balance the ecosystem and ultimately the earth's biosphere. Nature and animals offer a peaceful, present-moment environment of unbiased reflection of a client's messages and not only help guide the journey but also offer nourishment, unconditional acceptance, and natural consequences to aid in the healing process. I believe that when people understand and restore their biological affinity and love for the Earth and animals, more sustainable and environmentally conscious actions and mutual healing will be cultivated.
