My Approach to Helping

I love extending space for couples, individuals, and families to explore their strengths and uncover areas in which they'd like to change. I offer an eclectic approach that is tailored to meet the individual needs of each client. I know that change is possible, and I respect the courage that confronting life's challenges demands.

I've worked with adolescents and adults seeking both voluntary and court-mandated treatment. I'm also experienced working with families, couples, and groups. I don't believe in a ?one size fits all? approach to therapy, and instead I work with each client to devise the most effective treatment strategy.

I have experience working with a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, trauma, and depression. I'm also comfortable helping partners and families work with relationship issues, and have experience with substance abuse treatment and dual diagnoses.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love building a therapeutic relationship with my client. I feel honored that individuals allow me to walk with them on the counseling journey. I am often in awe of the amazing insight and incredible resilience of the clients I have the pleasure of working with. Therapy can be a fun and enlightened process at times and a challenging and confusing process at other times. I like to meet my clients exactly where they are and follow their lead for what their goals are.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

I believe that engaging in therapy shows enormous strength. I do not see any weakness or flaw in asking for help.
