My Approach to Helping
My psychotherapy practice is based in both Eastern and Western psychology. I utilize mindfulness based approaches, including meditation when appropriate, and complementary practices such as lovingkindness, compassion, forgiveness, and equanimity to help my clients cultivate a sense of well-being and acceptance in their lives. I also work using a body based psychotherapy, called Somatic Experiencing, to help clients release traumatic energy that may be stuck in the body. These approaches are gentle, natural ways of helping clients connect with their individual mind-body experiences, and in turn, connect more in their relationships and their environment.
