My Approach to Helping

I work with people who find themselves in difficult places in life. You may be experiencing depression, sadness, anxiety, emotional trauma, illness, the loss of someone or something you have loved, or a problem in your relationships. My hope is that our work together will allow you to heal, lessen emotional pain, and experience more joy. Therapy is a way for you to overcome limitations and to feel better. We might focus on one or two specific issues, or our therapeutic relationship may allow you to move more freely throughout all parts of your life. Every course of therapy is uniquely tailored to your needs. My training is in humanistic and psychodynamic psychotherapies. I am committed to deeply understanding your concerns, to helping you clarify your experiences, and to helping you gain insight into how your earlier emotional experiences live in the present.
