Groups I Work With
Clients enjoy the creative process and benefit from art therapy. Art is used as a safe way to express thoughts and feelings when there may be a problem articulating them in a verbal context. Clients may have various problems which may include grief, loss, depression, anxiety, growth and transition, chronic illness, substance abuse, eating disorders and mental illness. The groups are conducted in an art studio supplied with painting, drawing, ceramics, sculpture, and photography equipment. Both structured and unstructured art and writing directives are given to clients. The art is processed by a professionally registered and credentialed art therapist
