I have been in the mental health field for over twenty years and therefore have incorporated an eclectic mixture of skills and experience. I primarily see myself as a therapist who has a holistic and creative orientation to helping others. I believe strongly in the body/mind connection and have been facilitating stress management groups for many years where I teach holistic principles of self-care, relaxation techniques and creative movement. I do not feel that a client has to mold to my philosophy but that I need to be flexible and fluid in working with a wide range of client needs. I am both skilled in using a long-term process oriented approach or working a short-term model of behavioral change. I use different techniques in conjunction with verbal therapy such as art, movement, imagery, journaling feelings, and relaxation techniques both with individual clients and in groups. I also especially enjoy working with children and adolescents.

I am on a variety of insurance panels that include United Behavioral Health, BC/BS, Managed Health Network, Cascade EAP, and Pacificsource. I also use a sliding scale for persons seeking therapy who do not have insurance.
