My Approach to Helping
I believe therapy is about relationships. I work to establish a strong therapeutic alliance, or relationship with each person I see in therapy. I do this by displaying warmth, comfort, engagement, being collaborative, and showing a genuine interest in the details of each person's story.

I am caring and compassionate therapist and strive to be nonjudgmental and non-critical. As people enter my office, I seek to create a space of safety and trust, and help each person feel accepted, heard and, understood.

I specialize in HOPE and HEALING for individuals, couples, families, and kids!

More Info About My Practice
I am on many insurance panels and offer a sliding scale for clients that do not have insurance.

I have a 4-legged co-therapist named Keno. Keno is a beautiful black lab and trained social/therapy dog that offers people stress relief and unconditional love!!!!

What I Usually Need to Know to Help

Before I can truly help a person, I need to know what brought them to therapy. I need to find out what is causing their pain, and possibly help them in identifying the source. I also need to know what a person hopes to accomplish, or change in therapy, and what that change will look like to them when the therapy process is complete.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

People often ask me, "Who needs therapy?" My answer, "Everyone - at some time, or another." Unfortunately, none of us are immune to the vast array of life's adversities. We all experience times of emotional pain, grief, fear and loss. I always tell people that there is nothing more vulnerable than opening their lives to a complete stranger and exposing their deepest secrets and concerns. I also congratulate them for having the courage to seek my help.
