My Approach to Helping
We can all experience difficulties in life and, for the most part, we can take positive action to get beyond those difficulties. Sometimes we could profit from outside or new ideas and perspectives on how to deal well with life's problems. That's a role I take with people, helping them deal with problems in new ways. It could be as simple as changing how we view problems or solutions, or perhaps making big life changes. My caring nature and experience can help you with these difficulties.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Some issues tend to primarily affect one person such as depression, stress, and 'bad' habits. However, these issues can and do affect others in the family, at work, and friendships. So, an early goal in therapy is to examine the issues about how to best proceed or decide in what order to address differing issues.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
After twenty five years of intense research, it is clear that psychotherapy helps. There are several approaches to psychotherapy that can be used, I use well accepted approaches that have been effective with others. Psychotherapy is recommended to accompany medication in several cases as an effective addition.
