I enjoy working with children, teens and adults. I work with clients who are overwhelmed by life experiences, choices, and demands. I believe that the therapist and client relationship is one of the most important parts of the healing process and want my clients to feel safe and supported during our work together. Life is experienced through all our senses. I believe that having a way to communicate what you’re experiencing with play, or therapeutic activities allows for more successful therapeutic outcomes. I use a holistic wellness approach that incorporates the mind, body and spirit for optimal healing. I am also experienced in helping adults navigate a variety of topics including trauma and high conflict relationships. I am passionate about helping clients navigate and heal from high conflict relationships and divorce. My job is to collaborate with clients to set obtainable personal goals, improve emotional regulation, and develop sustainable coping mechanisms for holistic wellness. I have over 20 years of experience in providing counseling to adults, children, adolescents and families. I am passionate about wellness, parenting, human development and living your best balanced. I am a fierce advocate for healthy relationships. I hold a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Avila University and a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Family Development from Oklahoma State University. I studied graduate level Play Therapy at St. Mary's University and received a Play Therapy Certificate. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Kansas and Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri. I am a Certified Clinical Mental Health Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors. I also am a Certified EMDR Therapist by International Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Association.
