My Approach to Helping

We often get so busy in our daily lives that we forget to pause and reflect on what is most meaningful to us. Are you feeling overwhelmed, depressed or finding yourself stuck, repeating unhealthy patterns in relationships, feeling frustrated, unable to reach your potential? At such times, it is often beneficial to seek professional help.

I specialize in working with adult individuals who are seeking to heal from relationship wounds and unresolved issues from the past. I am present and attuned to your struggles, and I provide a non-judgmental, and authentic therapeutic stance that is necessary for healing. With increased self-awareness, you will be able to identify the negative beliefs and dysfunctional patterns of relating that are keeping you stuck, and to achieve different and broader perspectives. Cultivating increased self-compassion, self-trust and self-confidence will also be some of the inherent goals of therapy.

A life filled with purpose and joy is within reach, and I am privileged to be a witness to your transformational journey.

More Info About My Practice

I employ techniques from EMDR and trauma-informed depth therapies that aid in resolution of long-standing issues by guiding you in self-healing via your processing of unresolved memories and emotions that are keeping you stuck.

Since finding the right therapist match is very important, I offer a 20-minute initial consultation at no charge, for you to explore the possibility of working with me. I am not on any insurance plan, but I can be seen as an out-of-network provider. I offer a sliding scale and discounted fees for those who would otherwise be unable to afford therapy. You may call me or send me an email to schedule your complimentary initial consultation, and I will get back to you, usually with 24 hours. I hope you find the help you are looking for!

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Unresolved issues from the past are emotionally laden and contribute to negative beliefs about yourself that are causing you problems in the present. Psychotherapy can help you identify and change these negative beliefs, and help you to become more self-aware. With increased self-awareness, comes increased self-confidence, self-trust and self-compassion, empowering you to make healthier choices for a more satisfying and fulfilling life.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

The purpose of psychotherapy is personal growth and healing through processing of past hurt and traumas or memories. Psychotherapy provides an opportunity to explore deep-rooted issues that may not be in our immediate consciousness, but which play a powerful role and influence in our life. Through processing these unresolved issues, in the presence of a skilled professional, one can learn healthier ways to attain a more satisfying life.
