My Approach to Helping
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Massachusetts who has experience partnering with adolescents, young adults, adults, senior citizens, and couples seeking help with depression, anxiety, grief & loss, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, addiction, and life transitions. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at St. Thomas Aquinas College and my Master of Social Work at New York University. Currently in the process of becoming credentialed with BCBS and Tufts. My practice is currently entirely virtual.
I utilize an integrative approach that is collaborative, strengths-based, and person-centered. I incorporate psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, and motivational interviewing theories and techniques into my treatment which is tailored to the needs of each client in partnership with them.
I seek to establish a rapport with my clients that is built upon mutual respect and trust. I believe that therapy is most effective when it is directed in accordance with the clients goals and values. I appreciate the bravery it takes to pursue treatment, and welcome the opportunity to work with you.
