My Approach to Helping
I'm not a listen and nod type of therapist, so if that's what you're looking for, I'm probably not the right therapist for you. While I'm direct, I'm definitely not judgy. In order for therapy to work, it has to be a judgement-free zone where you feel safe to be honest with not only me, but yourself. I'll compassionately challenge you to confront toxic behaviors, so you can create healthier ways of coping with stressful situations. My goal is help you feel more empowered to handle the stress in your life, create healthier boundaries, and develop healthier relationships.
I specialize in working with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I also devote a significant part of my practice to working with the adult children of emotionally immature parents as well as the adult children of parents with borderline or narcissistic personality disorders.
