My Approach to Helping

I believe the reasons that bring you to seek therapy can provide an opportunity for growth and change for the better. In my practice I create an environment where my clients feel respected and heard. My collaborative and open orientation is toward healing and personal growth. It is based on the belief that we are capable of change, and finding new adaptive ways of overcoming our challenges and getting unstuck. I look forward to meeting with you and to constructing a treatment plan that meets your specific individual needs.

I will work with you to help enhance your coping skills, improve functioning, creativity and vitality, as well as gain relief from symptoms and stress. I provide a nonjudgmental space in which there is possibility and freedom to be curious about yourself, gain new understanding and increase your capacities to explore and address your feelings, as well as develop strategies for self-care. I believe that therapy can be useful and effective. I also believe that some feelings and life situations are too difficult to bear alone. I love the work I do and would feel honored to be part of your journey towards self-discovery and healing.
