What's My Approach to Therapy?
I am an integrative psychotherapist with roots in the visual arts and a clinical approach grounded in mindfulness and compassion.
At jkbecktherapystudio, I see women both online and in person, and I also lead meditation practices and creative arts therapy groups for the wider community. My private practice supports women navigating the complexity of physical and emotional health—chronic conditions, acute diagnoses, reproductive journeys, and profound loss. I also work with women whose lives are shaped by adoption and neurodiversity, who carry the weight of caregiving and invisible labor, who feel undervalued at home or work, or simply depleted in body, heart, and spirit.
With compassion and creativity, I help women name long-overlooked needs, repair relational wounds, and rediscover resilience, connection, and purpose—even amid life’s inevitable sadness and strain.
My Practice & Services
I am an out-of-network provider, which means that your benefits will determine the level of coverage you have to see a therapist who is not on your insurance panel. You can learn more, including what to ask your insurance company about your benefits, or how to delegate the reimbursement process, by going to the FAQ section on my website: jkbecktherapy.cominsurance
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
To say that it is an honor to witness people healing and finally embodying their true sense of self is a gross understatement. I feel grateful every day for the opportunity to help people grow into who they really are, to hear of a newly discovered sense of peace they have found within themselves. Women who engage in therapy with me are the same warriors in treatment as they are in their families. They are committed and passionate to the cause but it is very unfamiliar because it's not about someone else. And this is why I love what I do. Introducing a woman to the most important and often most neglected person in her life is a magical experience for us both. It will change her emotional, physical, and psychological life for the better. But, even more profoundly, because she is a woman, the positive work she does on herself will spread outward into her community. That's the beauty of working with women using an approach grounded in mindfulness-based therapies and compassion-based resilience training.
