My Approach to Helping

It’s that nagging feeling that work and career is replacing your most cherished relationships. You feel disconnected, unfulfilled. Your home is slowly losing it’s place as a safe haven from the stresses of work. Even your kids are sensing the stress that follows from the office. It’s the profound loss of peace when it should be abundantly present.

Navigating careers and professional life is tough on everyone involved - the professional, their partner, and their family. When work is extra stressful it can have a massive impact on your personal life. And, it works both ways - often times when your personal life is a wreck, work becomes even more challenging! When you need help, whether individually, as a couple, or as a family, you need someone who understands the context and language of professional life so you feel understood, and so you get the help you need as efficiently as possible.

I specialize in supporting professionals and their loved ones with empathy born of experience. In fact, the challenges of professional life and it’s impact on families is the reason my husband and I started the Kintsugi Institute. I saw firsthand how a high-stress work life impacted me and my whole family, and I wanted to help others navigate those challenges. I combine the power of effective therapeutic strategies (system-based approaches, trauma processing - EMDR, positive psychology, solution focused therapy and coaching) with business acumen to help you not only understand the “whys” of your challenges, but also “what” needs to be done to move forward in a positive and more abundant way. The life-changing transformation my clients experience leaves them feeling more balanced, having greater peace and focus, obtaining stronger emotional resilience and stress relief, and connecting more deeply with their loved ones. Their relationships flourish - with themselves, their families, and even their co-workers.

Find peace amidst the chaos, reconnect with your loved ones, and find calm and resilience in times of immense pressure and stress. Don’t let your career or your partner’s career derail you, your family, and your relationships. Your time is valuable and ensuring you’re not wasting it with a therapist and coach who isn’t providing exactly what you need is why I offer a free 15-minute “chemistry” call. Reach out today and discover how I can help.

More Info About My Practice

The challenges of professional life are complex. Too often professionals want to have the next tool, or gain the next skill to achieve their goals. Many turn to coaches to provide solutions and actions to affect behavior. But, I've found that true transformation requires more than just a study of skills, tools, and behaviors often offered by coaches. It requires understanding and connecting to the heart through an empathetic therapist. And this is what the Kintsugi Institute is all about - connecting head and heart and finding beauty in healing and transformation. The Kintsugi Institute is a unique practice that combines the power of systemic therapy with business acumen and expertise. When you from a relationship with the Kintsugi Institute, you not only get access to cutting edge therapeutic techniques (EMDR, IFS, Neuroscience, Positive Psychology), but also you get access to coaches with executive business experience. If you and I, as your therapist, determine you could benefit from a forward looking, solutions focused coaching session to help with a particular challenge, the Kintsugi Institute makes that available to you. It's a unique combination of counseling and coaching, head and heart, finding beauty in transformation.
