My Approach to Helping
I believe that our minds, bodies, emotions, and relationships all exist interdependently. If one aspect of your life is failing to flourish, you may find that your whole life feels out of balance. You might be feeling anxious, confused, or depressed. Or maybe you're stuck and struggling to connect with your own inner wisdom. If so, seeking therapy is a brave first step toward feeling better.
Together, you and I can draw from a variety of approaches to regain your sense of well-being and happiness. For example, if you've experienced trauma or abuse, EMDR trauma-resolution therapy can help you heal from the emotional distress caused by your experience and restore forward momentum in your life. Mindfulness practice or Focusing exercises can help you gain insight into and change self-limiting behavior patterns. Self-Compassion practice can increase feelings of self-worth and allow you to feel stronger and more connected in your relationships.
