My Approach to Helping
I have been providing clinical services in various settings for the past 25 years. My clinical work experiences include private practice, intensive in-home services with children and families, therapeutic foster care, medical social work, and, most recently, a behavioral health clinician in an integrated health care setting. Throughout my practice, I have been a patient advocate, focused on the strengths of my patients and the development of strategies that can create change and hope in my patient’s ability to reach their own mental health goals. I utilize modalities appropriate to the patient’s emotional and developmental needs and encourage practical strategies for coping, increased insight, and awareness of patterns of behaviors and negative beliefs that impact the patient’s mental health. Clinical areas of interest and expertise would be grief, complicated grief, depression, chronic illness, anxiety, trauma, and PTSD.
