My Approach to Helping
Finding a therapist who you can connect with is the most important part of counseling. You want to work with someone who is approachable, friendly and competent. Within the framework of a relationship built on respect and collaboration, counseling can help you reconnect with the the best aspects of you and can help you attain the life that you want. Whether that means challenging old habits, working through relationship difficulties, or learning new ways to cope with stress, I hope that my clients will feel a renewed sense of hope and passion in their lives as they move towards the future.
My career began working with teenagers and their families in an inpatient setting. In my private practice I enjoy working with clients who are experiencing challenges in their relationships, their connection with food, or the emotional ups and downs that occur for all of us in a fast-paced, high-stress world. I work to help clients understand their past but, more importantly, I strive to empower clients to make and sustain changes for a healthier and happier future.
