My Approach to Helping
My approach is client-centered and holistic. I use a strengths-based approach. I wholeheartedly believe that every person has the capacity to grow and change.
My hope is to help people see their potential and teach them the tools they need to actualize that growth.
I will hold space for the unique and whole person that you are so that you can explore your options and then embrace the life you want.
I am a calm and patient listener that pays attention to underlying, unconscious issues that may be driving conflict in your life. I will help you identify your own strengths. We will work together to explore instances when you’ve used that strength to grow through adversity.
I am a fierce advocate for people moving through transitions in their life and I am well-versed in navigating complicated social situations, varying family dynamics, and self-discovery.
I enjoy creating meaningful and lasting change in the lives of individuals and couples.
I use evidence-based treatment modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Humanistic Therapy. I also practice from an Internal Family Systems model and use Gottman methods when working with couples.
