My Approach to Helping
I’ve worked at the most expensive residential treatment programs in Malibu and Ventura. I don’t mind saying most of my clients said, “You’re the best psychologist I ever worked with after a lifetime of therapy.” I am both a clinical and depth psychologist; therefore, I know the value of empirically validated interventions, as well as the importance of accessing one’s unconscious in psychotherapy, which is imperative to healing one’s psyche. If your therapist is not doing this then you’ll be in therapy forever with the same issues on a different day. Great for the therapist; bad for you. Why? Because they are doing nothing to address repressed material, underlying issues, the actual source of your distress which has surfaced as addiction, depression, codependence, anxiety, low self-esteem, narcissism, relationship issues, etc. You can trust I will address the root cause and help you rip it out of your unconscious so that you will definitely know the immensely rewarding power of true confidence, true independence, and true self-love.

What is Depth Psychology?
It’s the deep dark scary stuff we, as human beings, instinctively hide from at the first sight of change - be it a job, relationship, a dream, a virus... Transition sucks! Change sucks! But alas, it is how we grow, and I’m here to help you along the way. No darkness is too dark and no fear is too crippling, because growth is part of us both individually and collectively. So, do not despair, you don’t have to be alone. Trusting a psychologist is a scary thing, but it's also the most discrete and intimate relationship you'll ever have.
What is Mundus Imaginalis?
Latin for imaginal world - Psychologist Henry Corbin (1972) stated this is "the place where heaven and earth meet, as if beyond the horizon - between intelligence and sensibility." It's where imagination and the unconscious live. Corbin (1972) also said, "Active Imagination is the mirror par excellence to reaching Mundus Imaginalis." Active Imagination is the most effective technique, by Depth Psychologist Carl Jung, used to assist with making the unconscious conscious, thus creating an opportunity for Psyche Integration or true, complete self-awareness and self-love. However, Jung also said this process should only be utilized by well trained psychologists. Which I am.
My Therapy Focus
For simplicity I'd say my therapy focus is Jungian; but to break it down depending on the needs of the client, I use a mix of clinical and depth psychological approaches with these methods: Jungian, depth perspective, psychodynamic, humanistic, CBT, and motivational interviewing. To be specific I'd say my specialties are: using a depth psychological perspective, depression, anxiety, dream analysis, childhood trauma, substance abuse, and all that which resides in the unknown. Ultimately, my therapy focus is to heal people in pain.
