My Approach to Helping
I understand that therapy can be intimidating, especially when it is your first time meeting with a therapist. I hope this bit of information helps you feel comfortable and ready for your first visit. During our initial session, I will orient you to the process and what to expect; I gather some history and we talk about the problems that brought you in. We then discuss your goals and what you want to accomplish in treatment. I offer recommendations, explain treatment options, and once you agree, we begin our work together. I provide a safe, supportive, and positive environment with a non-judgmental approach. In my office, therapy is collaborative, and I am just here to provide some guidance and encourage you along your personal journey.
