My Approach to Helping
Navigating anxiety and OCD can feel overwhelming, isolating, and sometimes even hopeless—but you don’t have to do it alone. I work with adolescents and adults who are tired of being stuck in cycles of worry, intrusive thoughts, and compulsive behaviors. These include: Panic attacks, Specific phobias, Health or Social anxiety, Anxiety around relationships, Fear of driving or flying, Agoraphobia, Body dysmorphic disorder, Body-focused repetitive behaviors like skin picking and hair pulling. Together, we’ll get clear on your goals for therapy, gain a deeper understanding of your symptoms, and build skills to transform your relationship with anxiety.
My approach is grounded in compassion, education, and action. In our first sessions, you can expect thoughtful, in-depth questions so I can really get to know you and what you’re experiencing. I’ll also provide helpful psychoeducation and practical tools that can begin shifting the way you approach anxiety and OCD—right from the start.
What makes my practice unique is the emphasis on leaning into discomfort rather than avoiding it. Many people with anxiety and OCD spend hours trying to “figure it out,” searching for certainty that never comes. But true recovery doesn’t come from having all the answers—it comes from learning to live fully in the presence of uncertainty and choosing to act in alignment with your values. My approach integrates proven treatment methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Habit Reversal Training (HRT).
This work is deeply personal to me. I know how debilitating anxiety and OCD can be—and I also know what it’s like to come out the other side. I’m passionate about helping my clients do the same, and I’d be honored to support you on your journey.
