My Approach to Helping
I believe that it is essential to create a safe, comfortable and healing space for my all of my clients. The unique alliance between therapist and client is also a pivotal element in assuring that client will meet their therapeutic goals.
For over 20 years I have counseled individuals and groups with those suffering through the cycle of substance abuse and addiction, and their families,
I received my MSW from The Catholic University of America with a clinical concentration. Since that time, I have worked with youth in all stages of trauma. This includes youth under the Department of Juvenile services, as well as youth experiencing homelessness and youth residing in foster care.
I continue to do work with children and adolescents. This work often includes parent coaching and helping parents navigate through the school and mental health system to assure that their child's emotional and behavioral needs are being met.
