My Approach to Helping
My experience includes working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma. I work to meet each person where they are in order to provide the best support and interventions for them.
No two people are the same, so in order to best support you, I use a blend of talk therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, CBT, motivational interviewing, and client-centered, strength-based approaches.
My goal for those I work with is to find coping strategies that are helpful in regulating and tolerating emotions, processing difficult events and emotions as they arise, as well as from the past, and improving self-awareness on your journey to self-discovery and growth.
More Info About My Practice
Change and growth can be uncomfortable. Along the way to self-discovery and growth, we will work together to find ways to embrace the discomfort and continue to support your forward progress. My goal is to provide a supportive, non-judgmental space allowing you to be yourself and grow, and maybe have a bit of fun too! Text and email are the fastest ways to reach me.
I am an animal lover and have multiple dogs. I understand how deeply connected we become to our pets and how hard losing them is. I have worked with other animal lovers through their pet loss grief.
I am currently telehealth only. I schedule appointments Monday thru Thursday, starting at 10 am and ending between 5 and 6pm.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
Its common that individuals will start therapy with no self-confidence or self-worth, and are unable to believe in themselves. I believe that those who want to change can and will change. That transformation process is so amazing to watch. It is not an easy process and no standard timeline can be given, however knowing that people can achieve their goals, improve their symptoms and make change to improve their lives continues to fuel my passion to continue to provide therapy, support and encouragement.
