My Approach to Helping
I approach life with curiosity and driven sense of purpose. I have a natural curiosity and appreciation for cultural considerations. I have worked in the field for the past 10 years from nonprofit organizations, outpatient substance abuse facilities, crisis on-call agencies, and the judicial system, I know life is never a straight line, and there are always twists and turns. I can help you navigate those twists and turns, much like a GPS system. Prior to my experience as a marriage and family therapist, I was a stand-up comedian, I try to bring humor into the room whenever possible as I believe laughter especially during those hard jolts and twists in life, is the best medicine. My passions are dinosaurs and animals, and I enjoy making people laugh, even for free.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of California, city Los Angeles. Trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Have my Master of Science in counseling from the University of Phoenix, Los Angeles, and my Undergrad from California State University Monterey in Biology. I am a member of The APA, American Psychological Association, and CAMT California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
