My Approach to Helping
I bring a down-to-earth, compassionate approach to working with new moms, women, and couples.
I work with new moms and moms of little ones who struggle with postpartum anxiety, depression, and sheer overwhelm at the relentlessness of motherhood and the loss of self-determination and choice in their new life. I support new moms in finding compassion where they feel like a failure, voicing their needs, and finding ways to feel like “themselves” again.
I work with smart, self-aware women who struggle with anxiety, depression, and a sense of “not-enough” -ness. I support them in finding calm, center, and self-trust through big transitions, and to become their own radical ally and best friend.
I support couples who feel like strangers to each other more than friends, whose communication has gone down the tubes, and who dread the next interaction because of the amount of tension between them. I help couples in rekindling partnership, mutual trust, and empowerment in their communication.
As a mom myself, in addition to being a marriage and family therapist, Certified Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Trainer, and former women's empowerment coach, I've supported countless women, moms, and couples in becoming better allies to themselves and each other, able to advocate for their needs and to build honest, authentic, connecting relationships.
