I believe that your pain is real and my primary purpose as a therapist is to help you heal what is hurting. My approach is supportive and compassionate. In this way that we can begin to reduce discomfort and increase resilience. How would it feel to start reaching your hopes and dreams?

My approach to helping you is to honor your journey and take the strengths you already have to create a therapy that will be effective and healing for you. Above all, what you want will guide this process. If you aren't sure what your exact goals are, that is okay. We will work on clarifying your picture of the life you want to live.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
Invalidation leads to difficulty connecting with one's desires, voice and self-compassion. The loneliness of not being heard or valued can lead to the questioning of one's worth. What I know is that everyone has inherent worth. While a variety of roads lead to struggles with knowing what brings pleasure, peace and moments of contentment, I firmly believe that healing and recovery is achievable for everyone.
