My Approach to Helping
Hello and welcome! I am a lived experience licensed marriage and family therapist who is also a post doctorate Ph.D. researcher in clinical psychology and integral health biophysics (life physics). I am a mom, a daughter and a survivor of trauma who understands the lived experiences of adversity and its impact on the whole person. For that reason, I chose to become a researcher in clinical psychology and biophysics, and to incorporate this knowledge into my practice as a licensed marriage and family therapist [MFT #113252].
I utilize a needs-based approach that is specifically individualized to the uniqueness of the person. A variety of assessments are offered to assist the individual in objectively matching needs to solution-focused strategies. You are the expert of you, and because of that, my role in therapy is as a collaborator with you every step of the way. A treatment plan is co-created with you that provides strategies that are research-proven or evidence-based.
