My Approach to Helping
Sometimes we feel stuck and alone. We may feel so hopeless and worthless, that we cannot fathom a future worth living. Other times we feel terrified, frozen, or in a panic. Afraid to make that first step. It may be hard to fall asleep or to wake up in the morning. The things we once loved to do now seem dull. We may not know what is wrong but we know something needs to change.
Therapy is a great way to explore how past experiences have brought us to where we are now. To explore how these experiences have shaped our view of ourselves, our future, and the world around us. Therapy helps to examine maladaptive patterns and find new, more affirming ways to navigate our current lives and to shape a new future. There is hope, and things can get better.
