My Approach to Helping
It takes a great deal of courage to take the first step and reach out for help. We are on this journey together, and I will stay by your side as we examine what is causing you pain. Often what is seen as the problem is really a symptom of a larger issue. We can work together at your pace and find the root cause of your concerns in order to ease your suffering and bring about long-term change. You are the expert about yourself. Through this journey, the hope is to gain increased awareness, insight, and skills to live the life you want.
I have experience working with adults and children in a variety of settings. I have experience working with substance use disorders and persistent mental health conditions. I particularly enjoy working with anxiety, addiction, pet loss, and children with behavioral concerns. I often incorporate play therapy, expressive arts, and mindfulness into our work. I offer telehealth and weekend appointments.
My goal for our work together is that you are able to develop increased self-acceptance and self-compassion. My hope is that you would build a sense of peace with your past, acceptance of the present, and hope for your future, and know that you are not alone.
