My Approach to Helping

Hello! I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and have more than 15 years of experience working with adolescents, families, and adults as a youth worker prior to attaining her Masters in Counseling from Liberty University in 2010. Since 2010 I have worked specifically as a mental health counselor and skills class leader I have worked with clients facing a variety of mental health issues some including:

Mood disorders
Adjustment difficulties
Stress management
Grief loss
Relationship difficulties
Spiritual Issues
Attention difficulties
I have pursued and completed intensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). and my therapeutic style is collaborative and client focused. I utilize cognitive behavioral, solution-focused based, narrative, skills-based and existential interventions in collaboration with you and as appropriate for your clinical needs.

I believe that you have a life story full of meaning and purpose. I believe that through your process of decision and discovery you CAN make a difference in your life and those around you.

I am currently running a skills class that can assist you in getting the change you want. In this class, you will learn skills to help you manage big emotions, unhelpful behavior patterns that you find yourself in, and feel more successful in your relationships with others.

I am currently in network with the following insurances:
Priority Health
Blue Cross Blue Shield
