My Approach to Helping
Therapy is a safe space to facilitate self-understanding, acceptance, and growth. I provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment to explore thoughts, behaviors, and patterns that are contributing to you feeling “stuck," in pain, or dissatisfied with current life circumstances. I seek to build a safe relationship to facilitate your ability to turn a new leaf and cope with your struggles. I utilize an integrative and collaborative therapeutic approach, including techniques of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness based interventions. I am also certified as a Basic Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T) Practitioner. A.R.T is an evidenced based form of psychotherapy that utilizes back and forth eye movements to help Clients address common problems such as, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. A.R.T uses your brain's natural way of processing information to get rid of images and sensations keeping you feeling stuck or in pain.
