My Approach to Helping
Hello and welcome! To begin, let me ask you three questions: Who do you want to be? What would it take to become that person? What gets in your way? These are important questions and can serve as the foundation for mapping a path towards change. I'm an empathic therapist who supports my clients to be open, vulnerable, and honest. My job is to help you identify and heal the places that undermine the person and or partner you want to be. We focus on moving past fear and into possibility to improve your life and relationships. As there is no 'one size fits all' in life, or one superior model of psychotherapy, our work is always tailored to your specific needs and goals. I hope we can speak about how those three questions apply to you.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, an AASECT certified sex therapist, and a certified supervisor of sex therapy. I bring over 25 year of experience helping individuals, couples, and families move past struggle and into a more centered place in life their lives. While relationship therapy and issues of sex and sexuality are a major focus of my clinical work, I also treat people confronting various life transitions, recovering from substance abuse, psychological trauma, gender dysphoria and problematic sexual behavior. I maintain a culturally diverse, LGBTQQIA+ welcoming, and kink affirming psychotherapy practice. I offer my clients a safe and respectful space to explore and honor their experiences while building a more authentic and satisfying life.
