My Approach to Helping
Sometimes, being human is hard. You can be a thriving businessperson, a successful entrepreneur, or a high-achieving early career professional and still experience anxiety, depression, and mood instability. In fact, sometimes our greatest strengths are also our greatest limitations. I counsel people who find themselves stuck and know they need change.
I have a solution-focused and pragmatic approach to treatment. That's not to say we only stay on the surface, but even when we are doing depth work, I want you to learn skills and information that you can apply to your life now. I believe in empowering you with knowledge and adding in a dose of humor along the way. I want you to feel safe enough to be vulnerable and my goal is to create that kind of space for you.
I am a clinical and forensic psychologist who is licensed to practice in the state of California. I offer evaluations and online therapy to people throughout the state. I offer a free consultation to ensure I am a good fit for your needs.
More Info About My Practice
I provide online therapy for accomplished professionals throughout California who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and mood instability. I offer psychological evaluations and testing so you can get the right diagnosis, find the best treatment for you, and move forward with your life. If you are in therapy and something is not working, a comprehensive evaluation can be helpful for uncovering missing pieces that are needed to guide treatment.
I also specialize in forensic evaluations for criminal court and am on the expert witness list in San Diego County.
Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
I view therapy as exercise for your mind. Going to the gym doesn't mean you are weak and neither does going to therapy. There is nothing weak about understanding yourself, getting a fresh perspective, and having a safe space to explore things you would never want to share with anyone else. Some of the most notorious and successful people in the world have had a mental health diagnosis and many of them would attribute their achievements in part, to their mental health struggles. There is nothing flawed or weak about being human.
