My Approach to Helping
Taking the first step to reach out for help is not easy. I understand and respect that! As your counselor, I will strive to create a safe, compassionate and empowering space for you to heal, grow and become the happiest and healthiest version of yourself. I utilize the therapeutic combination of DBT, CBT and IFS modalities which utilize mindfulness, awareness of one’s parts and implementing positive thinking patterns. These are all important steps towards healing.
I work with adults above age 24. I offer individual and couple sessions. My specialty areas include anxiety, trauma, depression, relationships, self esteem and couples counseling. I tailor my approach towards each client’s individual needs. Most importantly I believe in creating a safe space for the client to heal and find their own inner strength.
Each person has their own internal therapist. Together we will find yours and discover what you need to help yourself heal, cope, and become the healthiest and best version of yourself.

The exclusive focus of my practice is helping individuals and couples improve their sense of self. I believe that with a strong sense of self clients can overcome struggles with anxiety, depression, relationships, self esteem and trauma. The broad aim is to help restore and deepen safety, trust, and emotional connection with yourself. Together, we will explore your inner blocks and walls of protection so you can learn to trust yourself and accept and validate your feelings. The result will be a more confident, happier and peaceful inner self.

Relationships aren?t easy. Maintaining respectful communication and boundaries while building connection can be a tough balance. We will work together to find the core issues and bring happiness back to your relationship which you both deserve!
Trauma creates deep wounds within ourselves. Sometimes we don?t even know they are there until we are triggered which may confuse us even more. During our session we will discover those wounds with compassion and kindness letting them be understood on a deep level so we can relieve the ache and embrace the joy.
Anxiety and depression are like alarm bells that go off internally telling us something is wrong. During our session we will explore the anxiety and depression without judgement. With compassion and lots of space it will allow us to understand how we can help it so we can feel the calm and peace we crave.
Self esteem is affected when we abandon or betray ourselves and we don?t listen to our inner needs and pain. By creating a safe space and validating our story and our feelings, trust for ourselves is renewed and strengthened which greatly improves our self esteem.
