My approach in therapy is collaborative, supportive, and goal oriented.
Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, whether you’re looking for support right now or navigating an upcoming transition. My goal is to create a space that feels warm, welcoming, and genuinely safe for you to show up as you are. In our work together, we’ll focus on helping you better understand yourself and make changes that feel realistic and sustainable. Sessions may include both reflection and practical steps forward, depending on what feels most helpful to you. I recognize that societal systems, bias, and discrimination can have a real impact on mental health, relationships, and sense of self. As a queer-identifying therapist, I offer gender-affirming, celebratory care and work closely with individuals from marginalized communities. I often support clients navigating identity, relationships, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more grounded, more confident, and better able to move through challenges with clarity. I have experience supporting both individuals and couples as they move through periods of change and uncertainty. Over time, clients often find they feel more connected to themselves, more secure in their decisions, and better able to handle what life brings. If you’re considering therapy, you don’t need to have everything figured out to reach out. Reaching out doesn’t commit you to anything. It’s simply a chance to see if this feels like a good fit.
Health and wellness are not linear and will only evolve within a dynamic and complex interplay of the many systems in our lives. I firmly believe that promoting mental health is a part of this interplay. I help my clients with exploring those systems relevant to their mental health (such as relationships, lifestyle routines with sleep and eating, problem-solving, etc.), and developing strategies and routines to promote a robust everyday experience. My approach is holistic and integrative in nature; I believe that for the mind to be healthy, the body, mind, and spiritual needs of the person need to be in alignment. The mind includes our thoughts, feelings, and actions, while the body represents how those, coupled with lifestyle and nutrition routines, manifest physically. While our spiritual experience can differ widely, it is, at its root, the connection we experience to the world we live in. This can include, but is not limited to, our personal and intimate relationships with other humans, with nature and the earth we live on, with the food we eat, with the values we set, the routines we engage in to fulfill those values, andor with a religious deity. We will work on promoting your mental “Wellth;” we can only consider ourselves wealthy when our whole being is supported and living in abundance, not just our financials.

If you're ready to better understand yourself, break free from self-doubt, and create a life that feels more authentic, therapy can help. Together, we'll explore how your past experiences have shaped your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and sense of self. My goal is to help you develop emotional maturity, strengthen self-awareness, and learn to embrace the present instead of living in anxiety or fear of what might happen. You'll gain practical tools to set healthy boundaries, prioritize your own needs without guilt, and build a life guided by your values rather than your fears. My work is grounded in a person-centered approach. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, respect, and honesty. Therapy with me is collaborative and conversational. It does not have to feel stiff or clinical. Growth can include insight, practical tools, and even moments of humor. My goal is to help you feel more confident, grounded, and aligned with the version of yourself you want to become — not a “perfect” version, but a more authentic and self-assured one.
I have 22 years experience working productively with people of diverse backgrounds, ages, and sexual orientations. Our job together is to identify dysfunctional patterns that contribute to—even perpetuate—your difficulties. The main focus of therapy is to remove inner and outer obstacles that prevent you from reaching your goals and having better relationships. My approach is supportive, empathetic and, above all, pragmatic. While understanding the past is essential, change can only occur in the present. I will challenge you to be an active partner in therapy and to work toward ongoing insight, growth, and positive change both in and outside of sessions. My experience ranges from psychotherapy with adults, teens, and couples to counseling trauma survivors with acute PTSD. Whether you seek to make a major change, overcome a life blow or obstacle, or to break a chronic pattern, I will meet you where you are at. Please note that after years of counseling and assessment in offices, I‘ve recently moved into a different space: video. Active listening in a safe, private setting is foundational to this work. I’ve learned that the catalytic elements of good therapy can thrive via video too.

Change is the only constant in life, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is easy! Pain is an indicator that something isn't working and it is time for change. Like most things worthwhile, change requires hard work. Guiding you through the process of change is my lifework. Whatever your struggle, I'm here to work through it with you --you are not alone! The purpose of psychotherapy is to help you improve your life by making meaningful changes. A good therapist should, first and foremost, be able to help you reduce the immediate distress that has pushed you to look for treatment. Once that initial relief is accomplished, the way is then cleared to focus on the bigger-picture of your life: your beliefs and feelings about yourself and others, your interpersonal style, the usual ways in which you protect yourself from getting hurt, the influence of your childhood experiences, and many other factors, including highlighting and using your hard-won strengths, all with the aim of bringing about changes that lead to lasting improvements in quality of life.
In high-stakes environments getting over it is not a strategy, it is a liability. True resilience is not found in suppressing stress, but in mastering the nervous system that governs your decision-making, creativity, and presence. While traditional talk therapy addresses the mind, complex stress and burnout are physiological. They reside in the nervous system, areas often inaccessible to logic and conversation alone. I provide a sophisticated, integrative approach for individuals who require more than just a sounding board. I integrate Somatic Experiencing with Creative Arts Therapy to bridge the gap between cognitive insight and physical regulation. We move beyond survival mode and into a state of expanded capacity. This is not about fixing what is broken; it is about optimizing your internal architecture for connection, resilience, and sustained ease. Core Areas of Expertise Executive Burnout & Nervous System Regulation: Rewiring a system stuck in high-cortisol fight or flight to restore mental clarity and physical vitality. Relational Intelligence & Boundaries: Navigating complex interpersonal dynamics and attachment patterns to enhance both professional and private leadership. High-Stakes Transitions: Maintaining an internal home and sense of self during significant career pivots, identity shifts, or personal loss. Complex Trauma Resolution: Utilizing a paced, somatic approach to process deep-seated wounds without compromising your daily functioning. Our work is collaborative, discreet, and highly specialized. Whether we are utilizing movement to release chronic tension or creative visualization to solve unspoken blocks, the process is tailored to your specific pace and lifestyle. We do not just discuss your narrative; we transform the physical experience of your life.
