My Approach to Helping

If you haven't been in therapy before, you are taking a courageous first step. If you have been in therapy before, then you know how important it is to find the right therapist. I have learned that people want to have better days, they want to feel motivated to do the things they love, they want more confidence, to sleep better, and want to feel in control of their lives. I am dedicated to being with you through the process, or if I am not the right therapist, then I will find you one. Why? Because you are deserving and worthy of all the good things, especially mental health treatment!

Taking the first step and reaching out for help can be overwhelming and scary. I want to make that easier for you. I quickly respond to emails and calls because when you are ready it can be discouraging to wait. You are able to make a tentative telehealth appointment on my website. Once you book, I will send you a text to have you complete paperwork.

More Info About My Practice

Although Prime Counseling Services is a fairly new practice, I have over 9 years of experience. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and trauma. Check out my website for more information. I will be resuming in-person sessions (with the option of telehealth) on July 6, 2021.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

You are right. It can be a very scary and intimidating process. Often you call around, leave a bunch of voicemails, and wait days or weeks for someone to finally call you back. Oh, and don't forget you have to wait for your first appointment. The first session can be anxiety provoking, but my hope is that after the first session it becomes less anxiety provoking.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

I like to meet with my clients weekly or once every other week. That helps you get to know me and for me to get to know you. You will see faster results with consistent appointments.
