My Approach to Helping
I believe in a goal-driven, collaborative approach to therapy. I provide a safe space, free from judgment as you explore those things in your life that are too confusing, embarrassing, or just too heavy to carry alone. You can expect to be heard, as YOU are the sole focus in this unique relationship. I will offer problem-solving, understanding, insight, and encouragement, and I may also challenge you as you explore and work toward your personal goals. I can hardly wait to come alongside you for a time as you walk through this journey of life! I work primarily from a cognitive-behavioral approach (CBT), where we seek to identify, challenge, and replace automatic and problematic thought patterns.
