My Approach to Helping

I believe that we all have a natural ability to heal, no matter how difficult things might be at the moment. In therapy, we will discover your unique strengths together and help you build on them to work towards your goals. Often, we have patterns or long held beliefs we are not even aware of, that get in the way of what we want. My role is to be a guide on your journey, helping you explore what's in your way and develop long-lasting solutions.
I am passionate about including the whole person, body, mind and spirit in the healing process. As we slow down in therapy and listen to your entire being, answers to difficulties will often unfold that you didn't even realize were there. Finding your own path towards healing and increasing your resilience will free up a sense of ease, choice and freedom, bringing you closer to living the life you've always wanted.
If you are ready to face your challenges and work towards the life you’ve always wanted, contact me today. I am looking forward to connecting with you!

More Info About My Practice

Are you struggling with relationship issues? Do you feel overwhelmed by traumatic experiences, anxiety or depression? Does it feel like your life is less than what you had hoped for? I am here to help.
Traumatic and difficult experiences are often held in the body. Releasing them gently by working with the body increases your ability to respond to the world around you from a place of response-ability rather than reactivity. Mindfully paying attention to your experiences in the moment increases your ability to choose what you want and to relate to others in ways that feel satisfying. Working holistically, together we will build on your strengths, create a vision for the life you want, and help you develop the skills needed to live it.
I use an integrative approach tailored to your needs, including Somatic Experiencing®, a biologic method for trauma resolution and increasing resilience, Hakomi, a mindfulness-based approach to somatic, experiential psychotherapy, cognitive methods, positive psychology and expressive arts.
I am passionate about providing a safe, non-judgmental space in therapy. I bring curiosity about the interconnection of body, mind and spirit to my work, and a deep compassion for human suffering and our amazing ability to overcome it.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

Sometimes asking for help can be difficult. It might feel weak or needy, or we might feel we don't really deserve support, we can tough it out on our own. We can adjust and accommodate. Until we realize how much of ourselves we are giving up. That we are settling, for relationships that aren't quite satisfying, for a job we don't really like, for a life that is less than what we had hoped for.
It takes courage to reach out for support. I am glad you made the choice! Knowing that you need support is the first step towards change.
As human beings, we are a social species. We change and grow in connection with each other. Sometimes, we need support, and at other times, we might be in a position to give it, but most of the time, we can't go it alone.
