My Approach to Helping
Hi, I’m Christina. I specialize in supporting individuals navigating substance use and emotional challenges. My approach is warm, creative, and connection-focused. I believe healing happens when people feel truly seen and supported—and when they’re given tools that speak to who they are.
Blending evidence-based counseling with creative expression, I provide a space where people can explore emotions, build self-awareness, and process life’s challenges in nontraditional but deeply meaningful ways. Whether through art, storytelling, or conversation, I guide youth toward healthier coping skills, deeper self-understanding, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Recovery isn’t just about what we leave behind—it’s about discovering what’s worth moving toward. I’m here to help you reconnect with yourself, rediscover your strengths, and begin building a future that feels both grounded and hopeful.
More Info About My Practice
My practice is rooted in the belief that healing is possible at any age, and creativity can be a powerful pathway to recovery. I work with individuals across the lifespan, offering art-based therapy focused on addiction, emotional healing, and personal growth. Whether you're a teen navigating early recovery or an adult seeking deeper self-awareness, I provide a supportive space where expression and transformation can unfold.
In addition to individual counseling, I offer creative healing and relapse prevention, as well as workshops designed to explore identity, coping skills, and building resilience through art. My approach is holistic, culturally informed, and strengths-based.
This is a space where you can show up as you are, and begin to reconnect with your purpose, voice, and vision for a life beyond substance use.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
My own journey through trauma, loss, and recovery has deeply shaped who I am as a counselor. I grew up in a home impacted by addiction; both of my parents struggled, and I experienced firsthand the chaos and pain that can come with it. I?ve been sober for over 30 years, and that lived experience gives me a level of empathy and understanding that can?t be taught. I don?t just know recovery from a textbook, I?ve lived it. And I carry that with me in every session, offering not just tools, but hope. My healing journey made me stronger, more compassionate, and deeply committed to helping others find their way out, too.
