My Approach to Helping
I integrate somatic experiencing (body awareness) with mindfulness exercises into most sessions to help you gain self-awareness and empowerment by identifying your own processes and adapting effectively to difficult situations, overall increasing your resiliency. Moreover, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) may help to reduce your distress and resolve traumas so that you do not live in the past, and finally heal.
You can overcome and heal from the trauma you have experienced, and develop strategies to better manage your emotions and your life. Together, we will explore your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions, and work on creating positive and healthy connections with yourself and others.
