My Approach to Helping

I integrate somatic experiencing (body awareness) with mindfulness exercises into most sessions to help you gain self-awareness and empowerment by identifying your own processes and adapting effectively to difficult situations, overall increasing your resiliency. Moreover, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) may help to reduce your distress and resolve traumas so that you do not live in the past, and finally heal.

You can overcome and heal from the trauma you have experienced, and develop strategies to better manage your emotions and your life. Together, we will explore your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions, and work on creating positive and healthy connections with yourself and others. Let's address goals and work on strategies to create a hopeful future outlook, build a positive self-image and self-confidence, and support you on your healing journey.

Open to new clients! Schedule a free 15-minute telehealth consultation. I prioritize building a trusting connection based on compassion and positive regard while employing empirically supported interventions, like eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), exposure and response prevention (ERP), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy, to reduce distress and increase resilience and overall well-being.

As a dedicated licensed clinical psychologist, my goal is to guide you in mastering techniques to ground your nervous system, harness neuroplasticity to enhance your well-being, and develop self-advocacy skills to amplify your inner voice and sense of agency. Together, we can cultivate improved responses to stressors and empower you to thrive.
