My Approach to Helping
I am a relatable, empathetic, easy-to-talk-to and easy-going woman of color, I have seen and lived through many different experiences.
Charlotte Williams is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 9 years of professional experience. Also, she has years of life experiences that have helped her to become the person that she is. Some of her life experiences include working in childcare, a psychiatric hospital, and community mental health. She loves working with diverse individuals' diverse problems and learning new things. This includes but is not limited to anxiety, depression grief, parenting, and self-esteem. She is passionate about what she does. Progress is not made in a straight line. There are bumps and curves in the road. It is how we cope with the bumps and curves in the road that cause us problems. Charlotte completed her Master of Science from John Brown University. She has been married, divorced, has raised three daughters and two granddaughters. Her approach to therapy is eclectic. It includes cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, and solution-focused. Your treatment will be specifically for you. It will include your values and beliefs and anything else that is important to you. She has managed several life transitions. Life changes only when you take a chance. Charlotte treats everyone with dignity and respect. She is able to help you to untangle your thoughts and feeling so that you may make the necessary adjustments to better yourself and your life.
