My Approach to Helping

I'm a queer nonbinary telehealth psychotherapist. It's very hard to be human in 2024; let's work together to find you some healing and peace.

When it comes to seeking psychotherapy services, it can be intimidating. As a psychotherapist who practices from a feministic, humanistic, anti-oppressive practice space, my goal is not to tell you what to do or how to get better. My purpose is to walk beside you, reflect on what I am hearing from you, and use my specialized knowledge to offer you a variety of potential options that may support your healing. I may know a lot of highly specific information, but you are the expert on your experiences and your life, and that deserves the utmost respect and honor.

My sessions are up to 55 minutes long, during which you will guide our time. I may ask what you want to talk about, but you are in control of where we go in sessions.

More Info About My Practice

I currently practice exclusively via telehealth. I also offer support and community for therapists, counselors, social workers, or any type of helping profession. Reach out if you would like more information about support (not psychotherapy) as a practitioner.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

It is very hard to come out as queer, and nonbinary. It is always a practice of coming out. Going through the process of receiving gender-affirming care, as well as identifying safe spaces, is exhausting. I truly know the exhaustion that comes with having to be your advocate, correct misinformation, and hear the hurtful political and societal messages people say about our communities. I have lived through traumatic experiences that still impact me today, and have made me a much better therapist.
