My Approach to Helping
I have been practicing social work for over 20 years and earned my LCSW in 2010. I graduated with a Master in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and recently completed my Doctor of Social Work from Simmons University. Using a Strengths-Based Perspective, I empower clients to begin their healing journey. My area of focus is grief and loss. I also have many years of experience successfully treating anxiety, depression, Life Transitions, and emotional overload from chronic illness.
My goal is to help clients begin to unpack their heavy emotions and find a new way to manage life. I use different therapeutic techniques such as: Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy.
