My Approach to Helping

Finding the courage to be true to yourself despite the challenges you have to overcome is the ultimate goal of therapy. I believe one of the greatest grievances is living an inauthentic life with who you are. Regardless of what you’ve been through, if something is stopping you from being true to yourself - if fear prevents you from engaging in life the way you want to or you are attempting to live up to some societal or personal expectation so far out of reach it hurts - If depression, anxiety, dysphoria, trauma, relationships, etc. are preventing you from living your fullest life, you can make a difference!

I want to help you reach your fullest potential according to your personal truth, values and beliefs. If we embark on this journey together, you will be the driver. I will simply help you see the different paths to reaching your end goal. In the end, you must be true to yourself in choosing the path you wish to take - or none at all.

Finding your truth sometimes means making a decision about whether or not to live your full truth. We can work together to help you explore your options to make the right choice for You. Making the call to start your journey is the first step - Let us start your journey together!

More Info About My Practice

I started Authentically You Counseling because I believe in the potential in each individual to find their personal truth. I believe that we live in a society that reinforces conforming to a sense of "normal", resulting in pain, confusion, anxiety, depression - the list goes on. I believe having a safe space, without judgment, that allows for exploration of who you are is the first step to finding your truth.

Take off the mask that communicates "I'm good" - Stop trying to conform to someone you're not! Start your journey - you can do this.

We, at Authentically You Counseling, believe in YOU.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

We believe finding the right fit in a therapist is crucial. Finding a therapist you feel comfortable expressing yourself with without the fear of judgment allows for growth. If you meet with one of our therapists and, for any reason, it is not a good fit, we will transfer you to another of our therapists without needing a second intake appointment.
