My Approach to Helping
I believe our experiences influence our perceptions of the world and how we interact with those around us. These perceptions impact how we feel, what we think and the way we act. Becoming aware of our beliefs and behaviors allows us to have a better understanding of our unhealthy patterns, which are really just habits. With the help of counseling, these habits can be changed, and new ways to approach existing problems can be discovered. A problem is not the problem; rather, previously attempted solutions are the problem. Collaborating to find new solutions is how I approach counseling with my clients.
