My Approach to Helping
I believe our experiences influence our perceptions of the world and how we interact with others. These perceptions impact how we feel, what we think and the way we act. Becoming aware of that gives us a better understanding of our unhealthy patterns, which are really just habits. With the help of counseling, these habits can change and new approaches to existing problems can be discovered. A problem is not the problem; previously attempted solutions are the problem. Collaborating to find new solutions is how I approach counseling with my clients.
